Audiences travelled from France, Austria and across the UK to see Greenock’s second Galoshans Festival. The community involvement saw around a thousand people actively involved the performances, the parade, participating in the creation of the emotional map and building the paper boat. The festival was made possible through the support of many organisations, community centres and schools. A special thanks to UZ Arts, the Beacon Arts Centre and also RIG Arts, Oak Mall, the Trust and our funders Creative Scotland and INSITU.
We’ve had some excellent feedback from festival goers, with 96% of those asked saying they would definitely return again, and 100% of those asked reporting that they found the overall quality of the festival programme either Excellent (57%) or Good (43%).
LET’S DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!
